Australian data hosting
Apollo has established a second data region in Australia to support customers with Australian data-location requirements. Most Australian and Asia-Pacific customers have moved to the new region, including their main application data and organisation files.
This is an expansion of Apollo’s regional hosting model rather than a move away from our existing region. Customers in the United Kingdom and Europe continue to be supported from our US region, while the Australian region gives customers across Australia and the Asia-Pacific a local data-hosting option.
The School Supplier Hub launches
August marked the launch of the School Supplier Hub, bringing more supplier assurance information into one place. Supplier records can show an overall health score and category-level information covering areas such as data, compliance and contracts. The Supplier Register also displays supplier logos and scores in the table so teams can identify where closer review may be needed.
Schools can record whether a supplier has experienced a historic, recent or active data breach, and filter supplier assessments by category. Document reviews run more consistently, while the contract review flow starts with a simpler standard assessment and leaves the more detailed schools-specific review available when required.
These changes are intended to reduce repeated manual assessment and help schools focus their effort on suppliers that present the greatest concern.
New frameworks for schools
We added eSafety and Safe AI frameworks to Apollo’s reference library, giving schools practical starting points for strengthening online safety and responsible AI governance.
Schools can use the frameworks to assess their current approach, identify gaps, assign improvement work and track progress alongside their other governance activities.
Governance settings that match your organisation
Apollo’s scoring matrix now applies consistently across Risks, Assets and Suppliers, while giving administrators more control over how governance settings are configured. Organisations can adapt the labels used for likelihood, impact, data classification and criticality to match the language and processes they already use.
Asset Types are also configurable. Organisations can adjust the names and descriptions of standard types or add their own types using reusable field sets. Incident severity options can also be adapted to match existing terminology.
Organisations can now create custom fields for Risks, Assets, Controls, Suppliers and Incidents. A field can be defined once and added wherever it is relevant, allowing Apollo to capture the information that matters to each organisation across its existing registers.
Risks, Controls, Assets, Suppliers and Incidents now share a more consistent filtering experience, including text, selection, owner and tag filters. Active filters are visible and can be removed individually or cleared together.
Phishing on autopilot
Dozens of phishing campaigns have also been added and linked to suppliers, giving organisations more scenarios to use in their human risk programs.
Phishing can now be put on autopilot. Instead of creating and scheduling each campaign separately, teams can set up months of campaigns in one go and have Apollo run them automatically. We also improved recurring-task behaviour and corrected several issues affecting supplier scores, attachments and risk history.
