June was a quieter month for visible product changes because much of our work was happening behind the scenes. The team was laying the foundations for Apollo’s Australian data region while continuing to improve risk configuration, connected tasks and school governance frameworks.
Preparing for Australian data hosting
Much of the month was spent preparing the systems and services needed to support a second Apollo data region in Australia. This was important groundwork for the Australian data-hosting rollout that followed, rather than a migration of customer data during June.
Although most of this work was not immediately visible in the product, it represented a significant investment in giving Australian and Asia-Pacific customers a local data-hosting option.
Risk scores that are easier to understand
Apollo now shows descriptive risk labels alongside numeric scores across Risks, Assets and Suppliers. Labels such as Low, Medium, High and Critical make the meaning of a score clearer at a glance, while the number remains available where teams need the detail.
Risk matrix labels and colours are also managed from Organisation Settings. This gives administrators one consistent place to align Apollo with the terminology their school or organisation already uses.
The result is more useful communication with executives and boards. A label provides immediate context, while the underlying score supports comparison and analysis.
Connect tasks to the work they support
Tasks can now be linked directly to Risks, Assets, Suppliers and Incidents. This helps teams move from identifying an issue to assigning the work needed to address it without losing the relationship between the two.
Tasks can also be tagged, filtered and sorted. For organisations managing a large programme of work, tags provide a simple way to group actions by team, priority, project or another useful internal category.
Together, these changes make accountability more visible: the governance record explains why the work matters, and the linked task shows who is doing what next.
Broader support for school governance
We added Child Safety and NSSAB frameworks to Apollo’s reference library, giving eligible organisations additional starting points for structured governance work.
Apollo also introduced an Organisational GRC feature set for schools that want to manage risk and incidents beyond cyber security. The aim is to support one practical governance approach across a wider range of school priorities, while keeping access and terminology appropriate to each organisation.
